Tiger of Malay — leading the first-season sire table
We had the pleasure of offering Tiger of Malay’s first crop last year. Now into his second crop and he couldn’t be performing better — leading all comers in the Australian champion first-season sire table by earnings (as at January 2026), ahead of stallions in what was a super crop: Home Affairs ($110k service fee), Stay Inside ($66k), Wild Ruler, St Mark’s Basilica, Pinatubo, Portland Sky, Acrobat, Captivant, Sword of State.
He was a homebred carrying the 2OB brand, outperforming his modest $16,500 fee in the Hunter Valley against far less opportunity than his barn mates. They eat, they work, and better yet they look to be improving with time.
In his stellar race career he was a Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed: 2x Sires Produce, JJ Atkins, Golden Rose, Caulfield Guineas — raced and competitive in all of the above, regularly accounting for many champions of a famous crop including Anamoe, Overpass, In The Congo, Stay Inside, Ingratiating, Paulele, Converge, Captivant, Artorius, Mazu and Hitotsu.
