Following on from his debut a fortnight ago, Twisted Steel — the Rommel gelding from our 2023 draft — has headed to the paddock following two impressive victories.
His first career start in a Northam maiden was a 4L victory, marking the biggest margin of any 2YO in the state this year and the biggest since stablemate and future gun West Star almost a year ago. With a high rating on debut, the Simon Miller bought and trained gelding started $1.24 at the relocated Belmont meeting before winning by 3.4L and taking his aggregate margin to over 7L.
With what must be said a fair bit of improvement left in him, he heads to the paddock for a spring campaign and perhaps will be seen in some of the biggest races in WA.
