Twisted Steel has added a rich Magic Millions feature to his record, winning the $250,000 Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy over 1200 metres at Pinjarra for Simon Miller Racing.
The Rommel gelding, offered by Ruby Racing and Breeding at the 2024 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, was sent out favourite after his sharp Ascot win and delivered like a horse still working through his ceiling. He travelled strongly, peeled wider into clear running and put the race away by two lengths in a time just outside the track record.
The win moved Twisted Steel to four wins and a second from eight starts, with earnings beyond $360,000 and valuable black type already on the page. For a $100,000 Perth yearling purchase, it is the kind of return that underlines the strength of the Ruby draft and the farm’s ability to raise durable, progressive racehorses.
His dam Real Beauty, a placed I Am Invincible mare from the family of Real Danger, Mystic Prince and Real Charm, continues to build a serious commercial profile. Her 2026 Magic Millions Perth yearling, a Maschino filly offered by Ruby Racing and Breeding as Lot 60, gave buyers a direct link to a fast-rising feature winner with further upside.
