A pinhook from the full Mungrup Dispersal in 2020 — the lone weanling purchased that year by the Ruby Racing and Breeding team. Sold the following year to Ridgeport Holdings for $130,000 at the 2021 Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
In November 2023 Bustler delivered owners their maiden Group 1 with a stunning win in Western Australia’s most prestigious race, the WATC Railway Stakes. Steven Parnham used the inside draw to find space and present Bustler on the turn, running away by over a length. It was the gelding’s first G1, the first for Ruby Racing as vendors, and Ridgeport Holdings’ first taste of the ultimate success.
Earlier that winter Bustler had become only the second 3-year-old in over 20 years to beat the older horses under weight-for-age conditions in WA, defeating a field including Resortman, Comfort Me and Red Can Man. He has also been a Group 2 placegetter behind Amelia’s Jewel, won the Group 3 Fairetha Stakes and Group 3 Belmont Sprint, and contested the four-million-dollar Quokka Slot Race.
A genuine Group 1 sprinter–miler with stamina to spare — the headline graduate of the operation to date.
