A 2023 Ruby Racing graduate purchased by Stewart Racing for $60,000 at the Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale. By Calyx out of Bombay.
Earthstorm completed her two-year-old preparation as the best 2YO filly in Western Australia, the only horse to place in all three of the state’s stakes lead-ups and the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate Grand Final — running 2nd in the Supremacy, 3rd in the Gimcrack, and 2nd in the Karrakatta Plate behind the year’s dominant gelding Bustling.
Her runs that preparation pushed earnings to $150,000 despite remaining a maiden — every run a black-type placing. She heads to broodmare ranks with a long, classy female line and retains great future value. On track she was set for the spring fillies events with options of Placid Ark or Champion Fillies on her selection card.
